Subtle. Quiet. Sensitive. These are the attributes of each of my Equine and Animal portraits of the desert Southwest, designed to give a sense of meditative harmony to the viewer. Each portrait is delicate, minimal, and impressionistic, rendered with light and shadow to depict the subject with depth and the perception of realism. The brushwork is sculpted and expressive, enhancing the glow and visual richness of the painting. My goal is to leave the viewer with a feeling of peace, and perhaps, a smile in the mind.
